An Interview with Armen

Get to know one of our elders, Armen Svadjian, below!

1. How did you and your family become a part of New City Church?

We belonged to Grace Toronto Church before moving to Hamilton in 2017. We decided to check out the local PCA church on our first Sunday here, really appreciated the strong preaching ministry and warm community, and have been here ever since!

2. What do you enjoy the most about your role as a Ruling Elder at New City?

Getting to know and care for the saints at New City with a special bunch of brothers who have become very dear to me.

3. Who are the important people in your life? (i.e. wife, family, etc.)

Married to the beautiful Lisa, and we are the proud parents of three daughters: Lucene, Arda, and Noor.

4. What is one crazy/wild dream that you have that you wish would come true for New City?

I'm gonna steal Moses's answer and say a Chick-fil-A on the ground floor of our church building.

5. What is your day job and what is your favourite part about it?

I'm a librarian at Redeemer University and love the variety that comes with the role: everything from programming to coaching staff to thrifting vinyl for our growing record collection!
